Partner Portal

I haven't used MySun for a while, and I've forgotten my Password. Do I need to re-register?

No. There's a 'remind me of my password' facility at the MySun Login screen.

How do I benefit by using the Partner Portal?

The Partner Portal contains Sun internal information that allows you to answer many of the questions that you or your customers may have. Partner Portal is only available to Sun employees and Accredited Partners. If you're unable to find out the information yourself, you should only contact Sun for support as a last resort.

What do I do if I can't access MySun or Partner Portal?

You'll need to email our e-support team in Holland at esupport@holland.sun.com

Purchasing and ordering

What should I do if a customer phones about a product that's been delivered and is faulty?

If a site fault is reported, either the customer or Partner managing them should call the Sun Hotline immediately on 0870 6003222. This is an Enterprise Services Hotline number and you must have the system serial number to hand to log a call. If it's regarding a component part, you should quote the serial number of the system that the part's installed in.

If a product arriving from Arrow ECS is damaged, you should contact your Arrow ECS Account Manager immediately who will resolve on a case by case basis. You should always contact your purchase point straight away and seek advice on what solution should be offered. Although these situations are very rare, most incidents need to be managed as one-offs as circumstances can vary considerably.

Where can I find information about weights and dimensions of products?

Information about new Product Releases can be found on the Marketing Bulletins which are published on the Partner Portal. These bulletins contain information about product specifications and when the products are being released for general availability.

What are the benefits to a customer using IBB?

IBB - or installed base business - allows customers to upgrade their existing technology and receive back a residue allowance for doing so. The customer purchases the equipment and the residue, or old kit value, is calculated using the IBB Pathfinder tool and selecting the appropriate allowance code for credit.

Using IBB allows customers to get more for their budget so they can purchase additional hardware or services with their initial allowance.

My end user customer has a problem with their License and would like to have a temporary License issued.
